Safe Working on Site

The marquee industry has a very good record for safety, but the nature of the work and the large proportion of seasonal workers involved means that we must not be complacent or drop our guard.

MUTAmarq employs a full time H & S professional as a compliance officer to advise and check on contractors' working practices.

Site inspections include checks for

• PPE
• First Aid
• Evidence of competence (Supervisor)
• Skills and licenses
• Condition of tools and equipment
• Working at height issues
• Housekeeping and welfare

Contractors failing inspections are subject to disciplinary procedures

The HSCO (compliance officer) is available to advise clients as well as contractors on all aspects of site safety relating to the erection and dismantling of marquees where the contractor is part of the MUTAmarq scheme.
